Chrysalis Society operates support recovery homes for women. Women join their programs when they want to participate in a path of abstinence.

Chrysalis provides women-centered services and consider that women's use of substances may be a way of coping which eventually diminishes her power, choices and abilities. They work from an empowerment approach where women are encouraged to find and use their voices in achieving their interests and deepening their path of recovery.

While women are at Chrysalis Homes, they can participate in the program which best fills her needs.  There are three Homes:

  • New Dawn -- first stage deveoted to encouraging women to find peace, seek medical attention, develop a routine of self care
  • New Day -- second stage is devoted to accessing tratment/counselling, participating in employment/education opportunities
  • New Way -- third stage for women who have completed three months in recovery (minimum), offering transitional housing
