BC Technology Social Venture Partners (BCT SVP) is a network for senior technology leaders who care about their communities.
BCT SVP seeks to catalyze significant, long-term positive social change by:
- Encouraging individuals to be well informed, effective and engaged philanthropists, and
- Investing time, expertise and money in innovative not-for-profit organizations while helping to strengthen them in the process.
We take an innovative approach to philanthropy, leveraging our dollars, networks, and professional skills to support our Grantees. We have found that this "time plus money" approach helps our Grantees increase their capacity to deliver positive social impact.
While we have a broad interest in all groups tackling social problems in new and creative ways, currently our support is focused in three main areas of need: Helping Women at Risk, Brighter Futures for Children and Youth and Inner City.
