Covenant House

December, 2004

Covenant House Vancouver exists for those young people for whom there is often no one else — young people aged 16 - 24 who have either willingly fled physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse or those who have been forced from their homes. The nonprofit provides a refuge days and nights from walking the streets, hot food and a warm bed and counseling to support their choice to change their present circumstances while helping them heal from past traumas.

Covenant House needed a needs assessment for a client tracking system. The project would have a huge business impact on the organization. It would save time, allow care workers to do meaningful case management for individual youth, and assist with targeted fundraising and increasing reporting requirement form government.

SVP partners conducted a needs assessment for the technology and helped the nonprofit chose and implement a system. Drawing on SVP connections in the technology community, SVP secured an in-kind software donation for the project.
