EMBERS (Eastside Movement for Business & Economic Renewal Society) is a non-profit agency that works to combat poverty and assists in the revitalization of Vancouver's inner city by facilitating community-based business development. We do this by helping individuals and groups start small businesses and social enterprises. Embers offers hope and self-sufficiency to low income citizens. Using the principals of community-based economic development taht have been used throughout the world, Embers helps people with no business background to become self-sufficient owners of their own microenterprise.
