BC SVP has an ongoing granting process. Throughout the year, Partners from the Opportunities Committee coach and evaluate applicants. Partners typically sit on the Opportunities Committee for one year.
The process is simple. The BCSVP Executive Director recommends promising projects to the Opportunites Committee. Applicants are reviewed on a regular basis. If selected, each applicant is assigned two Partners to help the group develop an one page project description and video, if necessary. The one pager and video are sent to the full Partnership for feedback. Pending majority approval by Partnership, applicants may or may not be chosen for granting and consulting.
Sitting on the Opportunities Committee is a great way to meet other partners, and to learn about what BC SVP does. It's also a way to get hands-on coaching experience, without committing a lot of time. If you're a new Partner, get engaged first and fast here.
