New Grants Team

BC SVP has two granting cycles a year, one in the fall and one the spring. Each cycle, ten Partners form a New Grants Team to coach and evaluate applicants. Partners typically sit on the New Grants Team for a few cycles, but the make-up of the Team changes regularly.

The process is simple — each of five promising projects selected from a larger group of applicants is assigned two Partners, who help the group develop a full funding proposal. Once all proposals are ready, the Team reconvenes to choose one proposal to receive funding.

Sitting on the New Grants Team is a great way to meet other partners, and to learn about what BC SVP does. It's also a way to get hands-on coaching experience, without committing a lot of time. If you're a new Partner, get engaged first and fast here.
